Consul General of Canada Jamshed Merchant to participate in Canada Connections business event in Hibbing

Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB) Commissioner Tony Sertich will host Canada Connections, a luncheon and roundtable discussion with Jamshed Merchant, Consul General of Canada on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Hibbing Community College from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The focus of the event is to learn more about the strong trading relationship between northeastern Minnesota and Canada, as well as future business opportunities.

Consul General Merchant is the top Canadian diplomat for the Upper Midwest region of the United States. His role is educating business leaders and facilitating business connections to promote bilateral trade between Canada and Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska. 

IRRRB is a state economic development agency headquartered in northeastern Minnesota whose mission is to promote and invest in business, community and workforce development for the betterment of northeastern Minnesota.
