IRRRB launches free online building and site locator tool

April 11, 2013

EVELETH, Minn.—Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB) recently launched a new online building and site locator tool, located at irrrbproperties.com. The tool enables visitors, particularly business leaders and site selectors, to explore the wide range of available buildings and properties in northeastern Minnesota.  In addition, visitors can view community profile information such as demographics, labor force wages and housing--all available at the region, county, and community level.

Using Geographic Information System (GIS) Software, the website tools provide access to in-depth information, including powerful real estate search, demographic analysis, industry reports, along with dynamic mapping tools. The applications are built upon GIS Planning and Google Maps technology, which offer state-of-the-art site selection analysis capabilities.

The site features data on every city and township in the IRRRB’s service area, all of which are able to add information to the site for free.

“Many of our local leaders are just beginning the process of adding information on the available buildings and sites in their communities,” said IRRRB Commissioner Tony Sertich. “As more as more communities come on board, the information on the site will continue to improve and grow.”
