Pro Blast Construction

Last fall, Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB) awarded the city of Keewatin, Minn. a $285,000 grant toward the infrastructure of a new five-acre lot to house Pro Blast Technology’s new building. The company was originally located in Pengilly, Minn. However, due to increased demand for its services, it needed to move to a larger area. The total project cost is $2,937,550.

Pro Blast provides sandblasting, painting, and polyurea and spray foam application services. It is the only facility of its kind located north of the Twin Cities.

Pro Blast currently has five employees, who will be joined by eight new employees once the building is up and running. Seven construction jobs also were created.

With the expansion, Pro Blast will have the capacity to add additional jobs in the future.
