In May 2012, the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB) approved a $2 million capital investment in the DeCare Dental facility in Gilbert, Minn. The investment allowed a 10,260 square foot expansion, which provides space to accommodate 120 additional work stations throughout the facility. This brings the total capacity to 325 work stations. Company officials project that the expansion will add up to 120 full-time positions, in addition to the 17 full-time equivalent construction jobs that were created. The facility expansion is projected to be finished in February.
IRRRB Commissioner Tony Sertich believes in the positive impact the expansion will have for the area. “The impact that DeCare has had on our region is significant and continues to grow. This project has created a large number of job opportunities for the people of the Iron Range.”
