Open house held at Spectrum Health facility in Babbitt

December 20, 2012

Dozens of Babbitt area residents turned out today for an open house at the new Spectrum Health Company assisted living/memory care facility in Babbitt. The $3.8 million facility, which employs about 30 people, begins serving residents in January.

IRRRB provided a $350,000 Public Works grant to assist with infrastructure development at the 38-unit facility. Built on Central Avenue, the facility features a geo-thermal heating and cooling system. Spectrum Health also operates residential care facilities in Cook, Ely, Virginia, Silver Bay, St. Cloud, Brainerd and Burnsville.
