EVELETH, Minnesota – Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board Commissioner Tony Sertich today and Thursday speaks at two major regional events in northeastern Minnesota.
At 1 p.m. today, Sertich provides an update on new developments and opportunities in northeastern Minnesota at the annual Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration, Minnesota Section conference and 72nd annual University of Minnesota Mining Symposium at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. Sertich will speak in the Lake Superior Ballroom.
The theme of the two-day mining conference is “A New Decade in Minnesota Mining.”
At 8:40 a.m. Thursday at Hibbing Community College, Sertich introduces Graham Rush, Canada’s Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner at the Canadian Consulate in Minneapolis, at the college’s Global Understanding “Focus On Canada,” conference.
The conference is the third Global Understanding Series event at Hibbing Community College. Previous conferences focused on India and China. The conferences are aimed at introducing citizens and businesses to new cultural opportunities.
