EVELETH, Minn.—Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB) Commissioner Tony Sertich today announced the launch of a new monthly informational public access program, entitled “IRRRB Update.” The idea for the program stemmed out of a series of ten listening sessions that Sertich held in communities across northeastern Minnesota this past spring. According to Sertich, there was a great turnout at the listening sessions, and he received positive feedback about how much attendees learned about the agency.
“We then decided to take our outreach efforts to the next level and share agency information in another format with those who were unable to attend one of the listening sessions,” said Sertich. “It is just another way for us to increase the level of transparency with the public.”
In the first program, Sertich provides an overview of the agency’s history, mission, programs, and impact. The running time for the first program is approximately 20 minutes. “IRRRB Update” can be viewed on local public access stations or by visiting http://www.youtube.com/user/mnirrrb.
“IRRRB Update” was produced in-house.
IRRRB is a state economic development agency headquartered in northeastern Minnesota whose mission is to invest in business, community and workforce development for the betterment of northeastern Minnesota.
