Minnesota's Official Source for Health Reform Information

Welcome to Minnesota’s home for information on health reform.  The purpose of this website is to provide Minnesotans with information on how health reform affects you, your family, and business.  On this website, you will find basic facts about health reform in Minnesota, and opportunities to connect to activities in our state.

What is health reform?  The term health reform includes policies and partnerships to improve health and lower health care costs.  Minnesota has a long history of reform and, most recently, in 2008, we passed a state health reform law that improves community health, patient experience, and affordability of health care in Minnesota.  In 2010, federal health reform (the Affordable Care Act) became law, providing additional tools for Minnesota to cover the uninsured, build the health care workforce, prevent illness, and contain health care costs.  Throughout this website, the term health reform includes both state and federal laws and policies.

Citizen Engagement in Health Reform:  Citizen Solutions Forums
Join Citizen Solutions to engage with other Minnesotans in a conversation about what's important to the future of health and healthcare in our state. Additional forums will be held throughout the state.  In August, the Bush Foundation and Citizens League will deliver a report to the Health Care Reform Task Force on the values and priorities that have been heard from people and businesses across the state.

    Scheduled Forums:
    May 17:  North Minneapolis
    May 22:  Roseville
    May 23:  Willmar
    May 24:  Elk River
