13, 2014 - The Minnesota Board of Nursing will begin accepting applications for APRN licenses on October 14, 2014. Effective January 1, 2015, authorization to practice as an APRN will require individuals to be licensed as an APRN and maintain current certification by a national nurse certification organization acceptable to the board.
29, 2014 - On May 13, 2014, and effective January 1, 2015, Governor Dayton signed into law a bill that will remove the requirements for a collaborative management plan and written prescribing agreement for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs).
