National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)
Organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing.
Nursing Assistant Registry (MDH)
Registers qualified nursing assistants to work in long-term care facilities, maintains information about nursing assistants who have substantiated finding of abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of property, and approves and monitors nursing assistant training and competency evaluation programs throughout Greater Minnesota.

Temporary Permit Holders
Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse permits are issued to licensure by endorsement and reregistration applicants. They are valid until the Board takes action on the license application or for two months, whichever occurs first.
