15, 2013 - Notice of Intent to Practice (NIP) information is now on the Professional Profile to facilitate the process for physician assistants and credentialing staff. Only current NIPs are listed. NIPs are entered within one week of receipt in the Board offices. NIPs must be completed and submitted to the Board prior to beginning practice as a PA.

27, 2012 - During the 2012 legislative session, the Board of Medical Practice was one of many State Agencies under review by the Sunset Advisory Commission.
At the conclusion of the commission’s hearings, the chair and vice chair of the Sunset Advisory Commission requested that the Office of the Legislative Auditor (OLA) conduct an evaluation of the Board of Medical Practice.
