This is a continuing education reporting year
Effective this renewal cycle, the Board has implemented CE attestation as verification of compliance with CE requirements. Under this method, licensees will be asked to attest to completion of the required number of CE hours (30 hours for all LMFT licenses issued prior to January 1, 2012; a prorated number of hours for all LMFT licenses issued January 1, 2012 - November 30, 2013.) Licensees will NOT be required to input specific information regarding completed CE programs. Instead, attestation will consist of reading a statement regarding CE completion and then checking a box acknowledging agreement with the statement.
Licensees who will not complete the required CE hours by time of license renewal MUST request an extension of time to complete CE requirements. This request MUST be filed with the Board prior to renewing your license. To request an extension, complete the form, "Request for 90-Day CE Extension," (available on the "Forms" tab above.) You will receive email acknowledgement of receipt and approval of the request. Licensees must then complete required CE hours within the extended time and file the required attestation document at time of completion.
Workforce Survey: The Board of Marriage & Family is partnering wtih the Office of Rural Health and Primary Care by participating in a statewide workforce survey and requesting the cooperation of all LMFTs. The survey will be part of the online or paper license renewal process and licensees will be asked to complete the survey when renewing their license.
