Commission on Judicial Selection Announces Vacancy in Seventh Judicial District

Saint Paul, MN – The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today that a judgeship vacancy is occurring in Minnesota’s Seventh Judicial District Court.  The Honorable Skipper J. Pearson is retiring, leaving a vacancy to be chambered at Milaca in Mille Lacs County in the Seventh Judicial District.
 
The Commission is searching for fair, experienced and civic-minded individuals to serve on the bench, and offer their talents and services to Minnesota’s judicial system. The following qualities will be considered for judicial office: integrity, maturity, health (if job related), judicial temperament, legal knowledge, ability, experience, and community service. The application process is now open for these vacancies.

A cover letter and resume should also be submitted with the application. Application materials are due by close of business, Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Interviews are scheduled to be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Mille Lacs County Justice Center in Milaca.

Minnesota’s Seventh Judicial District consists of Becker, Benton, Clay, Douglas, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Otter Tail, Stearns, Todd and Wadena Counties.
