Dayton signs law allowing access to townhome association records

St. Paul—Today, Governor Mark Dayton signed a bill that will allow townhome owners to make copies of housing association records.  House File 362/Senate File 241 permits common interest community unit owners to obtain copies of association records, and it specifies access to and charges for copying records.  The bill passed both the Minnesota House and Senate with strong bipartisan support.
