August 26, 2014 - ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Governor Mark Dayton announced the appointment of Ms. Darci J. Bentz as District Court Judge in Minnesota’s Fifth Judicial District. Ms. Bentz will be replacing the Honorable Linda S. Titus, who retired earlier this year. Ms. Bentz will be chambered at Jackson in Jackson County.
August 22, 2014 - ST. PAUL, MN – Today, following the strong urging of Governor Mark Dayton, the International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to impose penalties on South Korea and five other countries for illegally dumping steel products in the United States. The move will allow tariffs to be imposed on Korean steel products coming into the United States at anti-competitive prices.

The 15-member Board is responsible for governing MnSCU’s system planning, academic programs, fiscal management, personnel, admissions requirements, tuition and fees, and rules and regulations.
August 21, 2014 - ST. PAUL, MN – Today, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced that Hennepin and Ramsey counties have been added to the Presidential Disaster Declaration designation, making available federal funds for emergency relief and reconstruction assistance following June flooding. August 21, 2014 - ST. PAUL, MN – Governor Mark Dayton today took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge at the Minnesota State Fair, while participating in an interview on ESPN 1500’s “Garage Logic” with Joe Soucheray. Governor Dayton was nominated to take part in the Ice Bucket Challenge by Minnesota Twins owner Jim Pohlad. After taking the challenge, the Governor nominated U.S. Senator Al Franken to do the same.

August 20, 2014 - ROSEVILLE – For the ninth year in a row, Minnesota high school seniors were top in the nation on the ACT. Minnesota seniors posted an average score of 22.9, compared to the nationwide average of 21. Additionally, more Minnesota students met each of the four benchmarks—English, Reading, Math and Science—than did students in any other state, 39 percent compared to 26 percent nationally.
