    May 09, 2014 - ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Governor Mark Dayton signed nineteen bills into law.
  • Segment of Route No. 46 to be Named “Nicholas Patrick Spehar Memorial Highway”
    May 09, 2014 - ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Governor Mark Dayton signed a bill into law designating a segment of Route No. 46 (U.S. Highway 8), from the southwestern border of Chisago City to the eastern border of Center City, to be named “Nicholas Patrick Spehar Memorial Highway.” Navy SEAL Special Operator Second Class Nicholas Patrick Spehar was a lifelong resident of Minnesota, and a 2005 graduate of Chisago Lakes High School. He was killed in action on August 6, 2011, in the Wardak Province of Afghanistan. He was 24 years old.
  • Governor Dayton Appoints Jeffrey M. Kritzer and Kevin H. Siefken to Fill Third Judicial District Vacancies
    May 09, 2014 - ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Governor Mark Dayton announced the appointment of Mr. Jeffrey M. Kritzer and Mr. Kevin H. Siefken as District Court Judges in Minnesota’s Third Judicial District. Mr. Kritzer and Mr. Siefken will be replacing the Honorable Donald E. Rysavy and the Honorable Fred W. Wellmann. Both appointees will be chambered at Austin in Mower County.

    May 09, 2014 - Today, Governor Mark Dayton signed seven Unsession bills into law. These seven bills included 335 Unsession provisions the Governor recommended to the Legislature in early March. Altogether, 523 Unsession provisions have now become law.

    May 09, 2014 - ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Governor Mark Dayton announced the appointment of Ms. Leslie E. Beiers and Ms. Theresa M. Neo as District Court Judges in Minnesota’s Sixth Judicial District. Ms. Beiers will be replacing the Honorable Dale A. Wolf and Ms. Neo will be replacing the Honorable Heather L. Sweetland. Ms. Beiers will be chambered at Carlton in Carlton County while Ms. Neo will be chambered at Duluth in St. Louis County.

Headquartered at Grand View Lodge, the weekend’s events will feature fishing, family fun activities, a live concert with the Gear Daddies, and a community picnic in downtown Nisswa that is expected to draw a crowd of more than 5,000 Minnesotans.

    May 07, 2014 - Minnesota fishing regulations and other helpful information are now available on a new mobile-friendly, easy-to-use Minnesota Department of Natural Resources website. The new Fish Minnesota site is part of Governor Mark Dayton’s Unsession initiative and Plain Language Executive Order that directed state agencies make information easier to access and easier to understand.
