PAUL, MN – Today at the Minnesota State Capitol, Governor Mark Dayton and Explore Minnesota Tourism Director John Edman launched the state’s all-new travel marketing campaign, designed to encourage travelers to choose Minnesota as their next vacation destination. The marketing campaign, themed Only in Minnesota, promotes Minnesota as a one-of-a-kind Midwest travel destination. This year’s effort, which will reach audiences in 14 states and provinces, is the largest travel marketing campaign in the state’s history.
April 16, 2014 - The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today it is recommending four candidates to Governor Mark Dayton for consideration to fill the two current vacancies in Minnesota’s Third Judicial District. These vacancies were created upon the retirements of the Honorable Donald E. Rysavy and the Honorable Fred W. Wellmann. Both seats will be chambered at Austin in Mower County.
April 15, 2014 - Minnesotans still have a few more hours to file their taxes today, and claim millions of dollars in middle class tax cuts signed into law by Governor Mark Dayton less than one month ago. The $508 million in tax cuts enacted early this session by Governor Dayton and the Legislature are slated to benefit over 1.2 million middle class Minnesotans and thousands of businesses across the state.

Joined in the Capitol Rotunda this afternoon by legislators, advocates, and hard-working Minnesotans from across the state, Governor Mark Dayton signed a bill into law raising Minnesota’s minimum wage for the first time since 2005.
April 11, 2014 - ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Governor Mark Dayton signed two more Unsession bills into law. The bills included 17 Unsession provisions that Governor Dayton recommended to the Legislature in early March.

PAUL, MN – Today, Governor Mark Dayton today issued Executive Order 14-09 directing the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources, and Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to begin implementing Agricultural Water Quality Certification Program pilot programs.
April 09, 2014 - ST. PAUL, MN – Surrounded by students, parents, teachers, and school administrators, Governor Mark Dayton today signed the Safe and Supportive Schools Act (HF826/SF783). The new law, authored by state Sen. Scott Dibble and state Rep. Jim Davnie, strengthens protections against the threat of bullying in Minnesota schools. The new measure provides local school districts the guidance, support, and flexibility to adopt clear and enforceable school policies to help protect all children from bullying, and to reinforce the principles of tolerance and respect in our schools.
