Governor Dayton Appoints Robert J. Raupp to Fill Seventh Judicial District Vacancy
April 25, 2013 - ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Governor Mark Dayton announced the appointment of Mr. Robert J. Raupp as District Court Judge in Minnesota’s Seventh Judicial District. Mr. Raupp will be replacing the Honorable James W. Hoolihan, who has retired. The judgeship will be chambered at Foley in Benton County.

Governor Dayton to hold ‘Meeting with Mark’ in Shakopee
April 25, 2013 - ST. PAUL, MN – Over the last several weeks, more than 1,000 Minnesotans gathered at town hall meetings hosted by Governor Mark Dayton in Duluth, Moorhead, St. Cloud, Rochester, Mankato, and Virginia. The Governor’s ‘Meetings with Mark’ are an effort to engage Minnesotans in personal conversations about his proposed investments in education, job creation, and improving the lives of middle-class families. Another Meeting with Mark has been scheduled for next week in Shakopee.

Governor Dayton Appoints Jana M. Austad, Anne M. Rasmusson, and Judge Korey Wahwassuck to Fill Ninth Judicial District Vacancies
April 23, 2013 - ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Governor Mark Dayton announced the appointments of Jana M. Austad, Anne M. Rasmusson, and Judge Korey Wahwassuck as District Court Judges in Minnesota’s Ninth Judicial District. Judge John R. Hawkinson will be replaced by Judge Wahwassuck, who will be chambered at Grand Rapids in Itasca County. Judge Michael J. Kraker will be replaced by Ms. Rasmusson, who will be chambered at Mahnomen in Mahnomen County. Judge John P. Smith will be replaced by Ms. Austad, who will be chambered at Walker in Cass County. These vacancies were created by the retirements of Judge Hawkinson and Judge Kraker, and the appointment of Judge Smith to the Minnesota Court of Appeals.

Commission on Judicial Selection Announces Vacancy in Second Judicial District
April 22, 2013 - Saint Paul, MN – The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today that a judgeship vacancy is occurring in Minnesota’s Second Judicial District Court. The Honorable J. Thomas Mott has retired, leaving a vacancy to be chambered at St. Paul in Ramsey County in the Second Judicial District.

Governor Dayton Honors Victims of Boston Marathon Bombing
April 16, 2013 - ST. PAUL, MN – As a sign of respect for the victims of the terrible act of violence that was committed against innocent men, women, and children in Boston, Massachusetts, Governor Mark Dayton has signed a proclamation ordering all flags to be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings in the State of Minnesota from today, Tuesday, April 16, 2013, until sunset on Saturday, April 20, 2013, in memory of the victims of this tragedy.

Segment of Hwy 23 to be Named ‘Officer Tom Decker Memorial Highway’
April 16, 2013 - ST. PAUL, MN – Today, joined by the family of fallen Cold Spring police officer Tom Decker, Governor Mark Dayton signed a bill designating a segment of Highway 23 in Stearns County to be named “Officer Tom Decker Memorial Highway.”
