  • Governor Dayton Issues Emergency Executive Order 13-11
    October 23, 2013 - ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Governor Mark Dayton issued Emergency Executive Order 13-11, declaring a state of emergency in Minnesota due to the late maturing of the corn crop across the upper Midwest. Effective immediately, motor carriers and drivers transporting propane and anhydrous ammonia to affected areas of the state and providing direct assistance for emergency relief efforts, are exempted from regulations pertaining to hours of service.

This vacancy was created upon the retirement of the Honorable Kathleen R. Gearin. This district court judgeship will be chambered at Saint Paul in Ramsey County in the Second Judicial District.

    October 21, 2013 - The Executive Council will hold a special meeting on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 9:00am in Room 318 of the State Capitol, 75 Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, St. Paul, MN 55155. The purpose of the meeting is to consider the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources' request to approve issuance of 31 non-ferrous metallic mineral leases as authorized under Minnesota Statutes, section 93.25, subdivision 2.

    October 17, 2013 - ST. PAUL, MN –The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today that two judgeship vacancies are occurring in Minnesota’s Seventh Judicial District Court. These vacancies were created upon the retirement of the Honorable Peter M. Irvine and the resignation of the Honorable Lisa N. Borgen. Judge Irvine’s seat will be chambered at Long Prairie in Todd County and Judge Borgen’s seat will be chambered at Moorhead in Clay County.
