  August 20, 2012 - Saint Paul - Today, Governor Mark Dayton announced the appointment of Judge Wilhelmina M. Wright to the position of Associate Justice on the Minnesota Supreme Court.
• Commission on Judicial Selection Announces Vacancy in Fifth Judicial District
  
  August 20, 2012 - Saint Paul, MN – The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today that a judgeship vacancy is occurring in Minnesota’s Fifth Judicial District Court. The Honorable Bruce F. Gross is retiring, leaving a vacancy to be co-chambered at Cottonwood and Murray Counties in the Fifth Judicial District.

• Commission on Judicial Selection Announces Vacancies in Fourth Judicial District
  
  August 15, 2012 - Saint Paul, MN – The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today that two judgeship vacancies are occurring in Minnesota’s Fourth Judicial District Court. The Honorable David M. Duffy and the Honorable Lucy A. Wieland have retired, leaving two vacancies to be chambered at Minneapolis in Hennepin County in the Fourth Judicial District.
• FEMA denies appeal for Individual Assistance for flood recovery
  
  August 10, 2012 - Saint Paul – Today, Governor Mark Dayton received notification from FEMA that the agency has denied the governor’s appeal for aid for individuals and businesses as they recover from flooding in Northeastern Minnesota.
• Governor Dayton Honors Victims of Shooting in Oak Creek, Wisconsin
  
  August 09, 2012 - St. Paul— As a sign of respect for the victims of the tragic shooting in Oak Creek, Wisconsin on Sunday, August 5, 2012, Governor Mark Dayton has signed a proclamation ordering all flags at state and federal buildings in Minnesota be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset on August 10, 2012.
• Commission on Judicial Selection recommends Supreme Court candidates to Governor Dayton
  
  August 03, 2012 - Saint Paul, MN – The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today it is recommending four candidates to Governor Mark Dayton for consideration to fill the vacancy occurring on Minnesota’s Supreme Court. This vacancy is occurring upon the upcoming retirement of Associate Justice Helen M. Meyer on August 10, 2012.
