November 15, 2011 - In an effort to settle a dispute concerning the right of licensed family child care providers to organize to have a union represent them in their dealings with the State of Minnesota, Governor Dayton today issued Executive Order 11-31, which calls for an election among licensed, registered, subsidized, family child care providers.

Commission on Judicial Selection Announces Vacancies in Fifth Judicial District
November 14, 2011 - The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today that two judgeship vacancies are occurring in Minnesota’s Fifth Judicial District Court. The Honorable Timothy K. Connell and the Honorable Jeffrey L. Flynn have retired, leaving vacancies for district judgeships, one co-chambered in Pipestone and Rock Counties and the other chambered in Nobles County respectively.
