• Governor Dayton Moves to Simplify Minnesota’s Environmental Review Process
  
  November 16, 2011 - Building on the Administration’s success in streamlining the permitting process for businesses while preserving environmental protections, Governor Dayton signed Executive Order 11-32 today, ordering the Environmental Quality Board to conduct an assessment and deliver recommendations to improve Minnesota’s complex environmental review process.

• Governor Dayton issues executive order calling for union election among child care providers
  
  November 15, 2011 - In an effort to settle a dispute concerning the right of licensed family child care providers to organize to have a union represent them in their dealings with the State of Minnesota, Governor Dayton today issued Executive Order 11-31, which calls for an election among licensed, registered, subsidized, family child care providers.
• Commission on Judicial Selection Recommends Fourth Congressional District
  
  November 14, 2011 - The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today it is recommending three candidates to Governor Mark Dayton for consideration to fill the current vacancy created upon Judge Harriet Lansing’s retirement from the Fourth Congressional District seat on the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
• Commission on Judicial Selection Announces Vacancies in Fifth Judicial District
  
  November 14, 2011 - The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today that two judgeship vacancies are occurring in Minnesota’s Fifth Judicial District Court. The Honorable Timothy K. Connell and the Honorable Jeffrey L. Flynn have retired, leaving vacancies for district judgeships, one co-chambered in Pipestone and Rock Counties and the other chambered in Nobles County respectively.
• Expanded GI Bill to Give Veterans Access to Job Training
  
  November 10, 2011 - As the Dayton Administration strives to get Minnesota working again, Governor Dayton today proposed expanding the Minnesota GI Bill to provide thousands of Veterans access to new job training.
