  April 29, 2011 - Today, Governor Dayton signed HF978/SF919 into law, modifying local election administrative and redistricting procedures, to make such procedures more manageable for city and county election administrators.
• Commission on Judicial Selection Recommends Eighth Judicial District Candidates to Governor Dayton
  
  April 29, 2011 - The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today it is recommending four candidates to Governor Mark Dayton for consideration to fill the current vacancy in Minnesota’s Eighth Judicial District.
• Governor Dayton proclaims Workers Memorial Day in Minnesota
  
  April 27, 2011 - Governor Dayton has proclaimed April 28, 2011 to be Workers Memorial Day, in remembrance of the workers who have been injured or killed on the job in Minnesota.
• Governor Dayton orders flags at half-staff
  
  April 27, 2011 - In honor of Army Specialist Joseph Alan Kennedy, Governor Dayton has ordered all U.S. flags and Minnesota flags to be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings in Minnesota from sunrise until sunset on Thursday, April 28, 2011, the day of his interment.

• Dayton signs law changing length of Red Wing Port Authority term
  
  April 27, 2011 - Today, Governor Dayton signed House File 613/Senate File 124 into law. This law changes the term limits for an appointee to the Red Wing Port Authority from six years to three years for a term beginning on or after January 1, 2011.
