Governor Dayton and Lt. Governor Smith will visit all of Minnesota’s 87 counties in 86 days, concluding their travels on or before October 25th

On August 1, 2016, Governor Mark Dayton and Lt. Governor Tina Smith began their statewide tour of 87 counties in 86 days. Over the next several weeks, Governor Dayton and Lt. Governor Smith will travel to every county in the state, meeting face-to-face with community leaders, farmers, business owners, and Minnesotans from all walks of life. During their travels, the Governor and Lt. Governor will listen to Minnesotans’ ideas and concerns, discuss their priorities for a better Minnesota, and celebrate the achievements and aspirations of Minnesota families, businesses, schools, and communities.

Governor Dayton participated in a groundbreaking celebration for the expansion of Bell Laboratories, Inc. in Eagan, Minnesota. This business expansion is expected to add 100 new jobs in Dakota County.
