Governor’s Job Summit: Reflections and Closing Remarks

Posted on October 25, 2011 at 5:30 PM

The Governor’s Job Summit came to a close with short takeaways given by the moderators of each of the day’s 15 breakout sessions and closing remarks by Governor Dayton.

These takeaways gave all of the day’s attendees the chance to hear about each of the concurrent breakout sessions from the morning and the afternoon.

In his closing remarks, Governor Dayton thanked the participants for coming together in shared purpose to get Minnesota back to work, but also reminded them that the work is only just beginning, and that the progress they’ve made in one day needs to sustain itself and continue in the coming months and years.

“The terrific ideas that came forth today are a tribute to the creativity and ingenuity we have here in Minnesota that has been crucial to our success in the past and will continue to be in the future.”

“I want Minnesota to be the best place, the best place in which to raise a family, the best place to hold a job, the best place to start a business, run a business and succeed in business.”

“It’s only through your support and ideas that we can accomplish that.”
