The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) manages the state's natural resources. Hunting, fishing, state forests and parks, lakes, rivers and streams, boating and water safety, trails, snowmobiling, skiing, education, enforcement, wildlife management, lands and minerals are managed by the DNR.

Forms:

Resource Management Access Permit (NA-0193-01) w/ Exhibit A and B

Requirements:

Terms and Conditions vary by type of state land (e.g. School Trust vs Acquired, etc)involved and type of applicant (private entity or public agency).

Fee:

$30 minimum; actual fee will vary depending on timber or resource damages incurred in establishing the access.

Period of Issuance:

Up to 5 years duration.

Length of Determination Process:

Up to 90 days, depending on workload of local (field) forestry personnel.
