Definitions

License: 

Any permit, registration, certification, credential or other form of approval granted by the 46 state licensing agencies and boards as a condition of doing business: conducting a trade, profession or occupation, or pursuing a recreational activity in Minnesota. This includes equipment and vehicles and the right to operate them. This does not currently include licenses issued by local government.

State Agency:

Any government unit, state department, commission, council, board or office that issues licenses as defined above. This does not include, at the present time, local government license issuing authorities.
