Economic assistance

The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) offers economic assistance programs to help seniors live in dignity and as independently as possible.

Food and nutrition

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps eligible Minnesotans get the food they need for sound nutrition and well-balanced meals.

DHS works to ensure that appropriate housing is available for people by integrating housing, services and income supports to enable adults to live in their communities.

Adults without children in the home, seniors and people with disabilities may get help through the General Assistance (GA) or Minnesota Supplemental Aid (MSA) programs.
