State Quality Council

Background

Early 2012, DHS convened a State Quality Assurance Council to improve the quality of services provided to people with disabilities. Minnesota Statute section 256B.097

Key goals

The State Quality Council is committed to a quality system that achieves the following: 

  • Person centered
  • Outcome based
  • Quality driven
  • Effective in its use of public funds
 
 

Meetings

The council includes recipients, family members, providers, advocates, county staff, Region 10 Quality Assurance stakeholders and staff from Disability Services Division, DHS Licensing and the Office of Ombudsman for Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities. Member list

Meetings are scheduled at the DHS Lafayette Building, 444 Lafayette Road, St. Paul, MN. DHS has a contract with Advanced Strategies through December 2012 to facilitate the council meetings and processes to build deliverables and meet the council goals.
