Gov. Mark Dayton proclaimed Oct. 16 as County Financial Worker and Case Aide Day in Minnesota. In his proclamation (PDF), he stated that they are “dedicated to providing outstanding services to the people of Minnesota through their administration of public assistance programs” and that they are “responsible for the prudent expenditure of millions of dollars annually and must meet high standards of job performance in determining eligibility for public assistance.”
Children and Family Services Assistant Commissioner Erin Sullivan Sutton applauded the work of county financial workers and case aides.
“They are critical partners in the work we do here at the department,” she said. “They provide the direct contact and vital services to Minnesotans with low incomes, and represent not only their county but the programs the department oversees. I’m thankful for what they do each day for adults, children and families.”
