St. Paul—Department of Human Services Commissioner Lucinda Jesson issued the following statement on the America’s Health Rankings 2014 Senior Report issued today by the United Health Foundation. Minnesota ranks as the No. 1 healthiest state for seniors in America.
“The No. 1 ranking is attributable to our seniors, who are active and involved in their communities, as well as our excellent health care and long-term care systems. Minnesota is not resting on its laurels. In 2015, we’ll be providing additional community supports for seniors with low incomes, as well as a more expeditious way to report allegations of abuse and neglect.”
