Frequently asked questions about health care applications through MNsure available

January 30, 2014
Some people who applied for health care through MNsure may not receive notices or health care cards promptly. The DHS Member Help Desk can answer questions about your application or coverage for a Minnesota Health Care Program (MHCP). If you qualify for coverage, we can help you work with your doctor or pharmacy to get services and prescriptions you need.

Do you have questions about your health care coverage? We can help with that, too.

This page gives information about:

  • Who to call with questions
  • What to do if you did not get a Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) member card
  • How to find out if you are eligible or for what program you are eligible
  • What to do if you have trouble getting a prescription filled
  • Problem with your account in MNsure
  • Premium payments.

Are you having trouble seeing your doctor or getting your medication?

DHS has told all providers that members may not get member cards right away. Your doctor or pharmacy can help you get services. They can check if you qualify through the automated systems. They can also call the MHCP Provider Call Center if they do not see your information in the system.

If DHS said you qualify, but your clinic or pharmacy does not have that information, ask them to call the MHCP Provider Call Center. The call center will be able to help them find out if you qualify for coverage. Look at the New Member Information website page for more information.

You can help get the information about your coverage by calling the Member Help Desk. The help desk will help you work with your provider to get the help you need.
