    November 21, 2012 - Two DHS employees recently received lifetime achievement awards from the Minnesota Association of Resources for Recovery and Chemical Health (MARRCH). Cecil White Hat and Carol Falkowski were honored at the 43rd annual MARRCH Conference, held Oct. 29 at the RiverCentre in St. Paul.

    November 09, 2012 - Erin Sullivan Sutton, assistant commissioner of Children and Family Services, will be honored by the North American Council on Adoptable Children for her work on behalf of children and families across Minnesota at the 2012 Voices from the Heart Gala on Nov. 17.

    November 08, 2012 - Commissioners from the Departments of Human Services, Health and Public Safety will discuss the first statewide plan to tackle substance abuse Nov. 9 in Duluth and Bemidji, and Nov. 14 in Rochester.

    November 05, 2012 - Public comments are sought on the recent report from the Olmstead Planning Committee to DHS Commissioner Lucinda Jesson. The report includes recommendations from work the group has been doing over the past several months to ensure that Minnesotans with disabilities have choices about where they live and are served in community settings most suitable to their needs and desires.
