If you are a veteran looking for a good job, plan on attending the 2014 Hiring Our Heroes Veterans Event - Rochester, Minn. on Tuesday, May 13. Get the chance to connect with employers offering a diverse array of positions in several industries.
This event is one of more than 700 Hiring Our Heroes job fairs held across the nation. Hiring Our Heroes was launched in March 2011 as a nationwide initiative to help veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses find meaningful employment. To date, more than 23,000 veterans and military spouses have obtained jobs through Hiring Our Heroes job fairs.
In addition, a workshop for veterans and other military job seekers that focuses on resume writing, tips for successfully navigating hiring fairs, military skill translation, and interviewing will be offered.
The event will be held at the Rochester International Event Center, 7333 Airport View Road SW. The workshop begins at 8:30 a.m. and the hiring fair is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
