wfc-youth-zone

Finding a job can be challenging for teenagers and young adults, especially if you have little experience or it's your first time looking for work. It's hard to know where and how to begin.

Here you'll find basic information to help start your job search off on the right foot. In addition, some of our WorkForce Centers have special "Zones" where teens and young adults can get job and career counseling and much more. In the Minneapolis area, contact Leona Martin at 612-520-3542 for more information regarding service for youth.

Starting Your Job Search

Now that you’ve identified your interests and skills, it’s time to start looking for that job by networking and contacting employers.

Getting That Job

When you pay a personal visit to any potential employer, it is very important to make a good first impression. Here are some rules of thumb to keep in mind when you meet a potential employer either to get information, to fill out an application or for an interview.
