Business Development Funding

Our business development funding programs are targeted toward projects that are likely to result in economic growth. Our goal is to help stimulate new business development and business expansions while retaining existing jobs and creating new jobs.

Minnesota Investment Fund

The Minnesota Investment Fund provides financing to help add new workers and retain high-quality jobs on a statewide basis.

Flood Recovery Financing

Flood-recovery funds are awarded to local units of government, which make loans to individual businesses. 

Greater Minnesota Public Infrastructure Program

Provides public infrastructure grants necessary for expanding or retaining jobs, increasing the tax base, or creating economic development opportunities.

Border Cities Enterprise Zone Program

Provides tax credits to businesses in the Border-Cities Enterprise Zone cities of Breckenridge, Dilworth, East Grand Forks, Moorhead, and Ortonville.

Innovative Business Development Program

This program focuses on job creation and retention through the growth of new innovative businesses and organizations.

Transportation Economic Development Program

Available to communities for highway improvement and public infrastructure projects that create jobs and support economic development.
