Equity Direct Appropriations Reports

2016 Minnesota Laws, Chapter 189, Article 12, appropriates $34,250,000 to the Department of Employment and Economic Development for equity grants that will be awarded to organizations that work to improve economic opportunities for people of color, women, youth, people with disabilities and/or veterans in Minnesota. Of this total, $23,930,000 was granted to organizations individually specified in law. DEED served as the fiscal agent for those grants. The reports contain information provided by those recipients as to the use of grant proceeds, as well as an analysis of the grant recipients’ success in meeting the goals, priorities, and measurable outcomes.

Reports to the legislature are distributed as directed by Minnesota law. The Legislative Reference Library, as the official government document repository, keeps track of reports and publishes an online checklist of state documents. The DEED Library also maintains copies of many DEED reports; contact DEED.Library@state.mn.us for information about past reports.
