Governor’s Task Force on Broadband to meet in Falcon Heights Tuesday

FALCON HEIGHTS, MN – The Governor’s Task Force on Broadband will hold a public meeting in Falcon Heights, Minnesota at the TIES Building on Tuesday, June 12 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:20 p.m. The Task Force will hold two panel discussions focused on policy incentives and right-of-way, permitting, and dig-once strategies and an update from Senator Klobuchar’s Office on S1939, The Broadband Conduit Deployment Act of 2011. Members of the public and press are invited to attend the meeting.

The 15-member Task Force, which was established by Executive Order 11-27, is charged with developing policies to promote the expansion of broadband access in Minnesota. More information about the Task Force, including membership and notices of upcoming meetings, can be found on the Minnesota Department of Commerce website.
