MINNEAPOLIS, MN – As Severe Weather Awareness Week continues, Commerce Commissioner Mike Rothman and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak will be joined by community leaders and tornado victim Mary Anne Schissler for a news conference in North Minneapolis on Thursday, April 19 at 11:30am.
The news conference will focus on: 1) highlighting tornado preparedness lessons learned following a severe tornado that destroyed homes and businesses in North Minneapolis neighborhoods last May; and 2) empowering all Minnesotans to review their insurance needs ahead of the summer storm season; and.
Thursday’s news conference coincides with Minnesota’s annual Statewide Tornado Drill.
