What does saving look like to you?

Going to the library instead of buying books? Enjoying a homemade PB&J sandwich instead of grabbing lunch on the run? Or maybe it’s barely visible and your paycheck automatically directs a set amount to a savings or a retirement account.

To show you the many ways you can save, the Department of Commerce is teaming up with the University of Minnesota Extension, Center for Family Development, on a photo Twitter challenge. Over the next week, follow #minnesotasaves and #ASW2014 on Twitter to see the contributions.

America Saves Week, February 24 – March 1, 2014, is a time to review your finances, decide what you want to save for, and set up a system that will allow you to save automatically. That’s why the America Saves Week theme is “Set a Goal. Make a Plan. Save Automatically”.

Join thousands of others who are pledging to pay down debt, save money, and take financial action during America Saves Week.
