Project Summary
Shell Rock Wind Farm, LLC proposes to construct a 44 megawatt (MW) Large Wind Energy Conversion System consisting of up to 29 turbines and associated facilities within a project area of approximately 7,433 acres in Freeborn County, Minnesota.
Shell Rock Wind Farm, LLC is owned by Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (MMPA), which has 11 member cities. Avant Energy, Inc. is the agent for MMPA.
Shell Rock Wind Farm, LLC has applied to the Commission for a site permit. The Energy Facility Permitting staff will be seeking comments during specific phases of the site permitting process.
