Conducting Self-Assessment of Energy Code Enforcement

The objective of these grants was to help local code officials assess the baseline energy code compliance of new and renovated residential and commercial buildings and to identify code enforcement procedural changes and/or training needs that could improve compliance rates. In addition, data collected through these grants will be made available to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) as part of a national evaluation of energy codes compliance.
