Infiltration accounts for a major fraction of commercial and institutional (C&I) building heating energy use. Results of a recently completed CARD-funded study by CEE adds substantially to our understanding of curtain wall air leakage problems in C&I buildings in Minnesota and the associated costs and savings from air sealing retrofits.
Dave Bohac, director of Research for CEE, will present the results of this research in a free webinar that should be of interest to utility program managers as well as auditors, contractors, architects and engineers. The findings speak not only to potential cost-effective energy savings, but also to tools and programs that may be developed to help capture these energy savings
