Minnesota utilities achieve national honors for their EE programs
Minnesota utilities and other related organizations were well represented among those honored by the 3rd National Review of Exemplary Energy Efficiency Programs. The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy recognized programs that were judged to be models for emulation by other utilities and organizations. The programs demonstrate success in helping customers increase their energy efficiency. Minnesota groups earning exemplary status included:
Minnesota Center for Energy and Environment and Xcel Energy for their One-Stop Efficiency Shop program in the Small Business category
CenterPoint Energy for its CenterPoint Energy Custom Rebate program in the Business Natural Gas category
Xcel Energy for its Self-Direct Custom Efficiency program in the Commercial and Industrial category
CenterPoint Energy, Xcel Energy, Minnesota Center for Energy and Environment, and Neighborhood Energy Connection for their Home Energy Squad program in the Residential Audit and Weatherization category
Austin Utilities, Minnesota Energy Resources, Owatonna Public Utilities, Rochester Public Utilities, and Minnesota Center for Energy and Environment for their Energy Efficient Cities program in the Cooperatives and Public Power, Business category
