26, 2015 - EAP funds used to pay a service deposit or a deposit for a fuel tank, etc. on behalf of a household may result in a credit back on the household’s energy vendor account, if the household moves or changes energy vendors.

29, 2014 - EAP Service Providers have Primary Heat and Crisis allocations entered into eHEAT. As funds were allocated and available, ‘Pending Obligation’ payments automatically became ‘Certifiable’.
06, 2014 - Notices of Funds Available (NFAs) allocating an additional $600,000 in State Supplemental Administrative funds for EAP were signed and faxed to EAP Service Providers on June 3 and mailed today.
14, 2014 - The Department of Homeland Security has issued a warning that users of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE) web browser are at risk of hacking. They are saying not to use Internet Explorer until a fix is issued.
15, 2014 - There are over 1,600 ‘In Progress’ Crisis Events in eHEAT for energy emergencies, some with reported dates as far back as October, 2013. EAP Service Providers must determine what is needed in each instance and either pay the vendor or cancel the Crisis event.

17, 2013 - MINNEAPOLIS -- Xcel Energy is warning customers of increased incidences of scams targeting residential and business customers. Since January, more than 120 scams have been reported in the utility’s Upper Midwest territory. The scams typically involve attempts to illegally obtain payments for fictitious utility bills.
