All appliance rebate reservations have been claimed…waiting lists also closed
(ST. PAUL, MN) The response to the Trade-In and Save Appliance Rebate Program was overwhelming and the program is now fully subscribed. The waiting lists in each appliance category are also full. Requests for reservations and wait-listing are no longer being accepted.
The 25,400 appliance rebate reservations were all claimed by 9 AM Tuesday morning. Clothes washers and dishwashers reservations were fully taken by Monday evening. Freezer and refrigerator reservations were fully subscribed by Tuesday morning. The waiting lists have over 10,000 names on them.
Consumers on the wait list should have printed out their wait list rebate confirmation page. Those who phoned in and were put on the wait list will have the form sent to them by the rebate fulfillment vendor. Consumers on the wait list may choose to purchase their appliance now, knowing that they are not guaranteed a rebate. Once they do so, they are instructed to mail the wait list rebate application, proof of their appliance purchase and proof of recycling to the address on the rebate application. However, there is no guarantee that anyone on the wait list will receive a rebate.
Those forms will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis as funds from consumers who did not use their reserved funds are released after 30 days
The web site at www.mnappliancerebate.com and the 1-877-230-9119 phone will remain available to residents so that they may check the status of their rebate application.
People who received emails indicating a reservation number but were unable to print a reservation form should call 1-877-230-9119 and request that a form be mailed to them. It is advisable that they wait a few days before doing that.
