The Boards Complaint Committee meets in closed session after the Board meetings.

A sign-up sheet will be available for the public comments portion of the meeting. To be called to make a comment sign up before the public comment section of the meeting. The Board will hear your comment but does not take action on public comment items at the meeting.
For action items please complete a petition for rule variance request form or contact the Board office at least 10 days prior to the meeting for your item to be included on the agenda.
Becoming a Board Member
Board members are appointed by the Governor to four year terms. The board consists of four members: three barbers and one public member. Board members are not employees of the State and are compensated at a rate of $55.00 per day and expense reimbursement for board meetings and board activities.
To be appointed to the Board of Barber Examiners barber members must have practiced as registered (master) barbers in Minnesota for at least five years immediately prior to their appointment.
