Data Classification of Arbitration Awards

Interest Arbitration: All interest arbitration awards are public. (Minn. Stat. 179.04A subd. 3(a)(7)). 

Grievance Arbitration: An award is not public if the arbitrator:

    (1)    rules in favor of the employee challenging the employer's disciplinary actions; and

    (2)    reverses all aspects of the disciplinary action (Minn. Stat. 13.43 subd. 2(b)).
