  • Minnesota Archaeology Week is Sept. 14 to 22
    September 11, 2013 - Minnesotans have the opportunity to tour newly discovered ancient rock carvings, view salvaged items from Lake Superior shipwrecks, have personal archaeological finds identified, and visit a 19th-Century Voyageur trading festival, all as part of Minnesota Archaeology Week. These are just a few of the many events and activities occurring at sites throughout the state during the week of Sept. 14 through Sept. 22.
  • Temporary parking construction on State Capitol Mall to begin this week
    August 26, 2013 - The Minnesota Department of Administration announced that construction of two temporary parking lots on the State Capitol Mall will begin this week. The temporary lots are a key part of the first phase of the comprehensive State Capitol Restoration project. Construction work in the Capitol basement will begin in September.

  • Exterior stone repair begins Minnesota State Capitol Restoration Project
    February 20, 2013 - The Minnesota Department of Administration announced that the project to repair and preserve the deteriorating Georgia Marble façade begins this week. This key phase of the Minnesota State Capitol Preservation Project work focuses on stone repair and replacement to ensure public safety, prevent water infiltration, and preserve the historical character.
