Admin Plant Management manages and maintains 23 state-owned buildings, 32 parking facilities and 40 acres of green space located on the State Capitol Complex and throughout the State of Minnesota.

Maintenance Requests

To request maintenance in a Admin Plant Management managed facility, contact either your agency facility manager or call the Admin Plant Management Service Line at 651-201-2300. 

Examples of maintenance requests include:

  • Coffee or water spills
  • Elevator malfunctions
  • Lights out
  • Lock and door malfunctions
  • Restroom fixture problems
  • Restroom supplies and cleanliness
  • Temperature

Janitorial Services

Admin Plant Management performs the following scheduled housekeeping services to maintain office space and building common areas. Have a housekeeping concern? Contact us via email or call the Admin Plant Management Service Line at 651-201-2300.

Office Cleaning 

Daily 

  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners, as necessary
  • Pick up litter in carpeted areas
  • Spot clean carpet
  • Spot clean partitions/door glass
  • Vacuum carpeted main traffic aisles, moving furniture as necessary and return to original position


Weekly

  • Detail/dust areas below 6 feet
  • Dust exposed areas on desk/credenzas/work surfaces
  • Dust mop hard surface areas
  • Wet mop hard surface areas
  • Vacuum carpet all carpeted areas
  •  

Monthly

  • Spot clean walls and doors 


Semi-Annually

  • Clean carpeted traffic aisles
  • Clean ceiling vents (under 12 feet)
  • Dust accessible exterior window blinds, where applicable


Annually

  • Clean carpet. May be extraction, tip cleaning or rotary shampooing

  • Empty recyclable materials from common area collection containers and coordinate material pick up


Note: Detail dusting in an office setting will be done only in accessible areas. Admin Plant Management will not move personal items and electronic equipment to clean or dust. We will trash only waste receptacles and items marked 'trash'. 

Lobby and Entrance Cleaning 

Daily

  • Check/spot clean directories
  • Clean door glass; spot clean all adjacent glass
  • Clean elevator interior and exterior
  • Clean mats
  • Empty/spot clean trash receptacles
  • Sweep and vacuum open stairways
  • Sweep hard surface floors
  • Vacuum carpet
  • Wet mop hard surface floors
  • Wet mop open stairways in winter


Weekly

  • Clean/arrange and spot clean public area furniture
  • Clean and/or polish stairway handrails
  • Clean kick plates, push plates, and door frames
  • Clean thresholds
  • Detail/dust areas below six feet
  • Spot clean plate glass windows
  • Spot clean walls


As Needed 

  • Buff/burnish accessible hard surface floors
  • Clean carpet
  • Scrub and coat hard surface floors
  • Strip, seal and finish hard surface floors


Hard Surface Floor Care - Common Areas

Daily

  • Dust mop wall to wall
  • Spot mop spills/splashes

 
Weekly

  • Buff/burnish floors
  • Wet mop/auto scrub floor surfaces 


As Needed

  • Heavy scrub and recoat floor finish
  • Strip, seal and finish hard surface floors


Hard Surface Floor Care - Work Areas 

Daily

  • Dust accessible areas
  • Wet mop other areas


Weekly

  • Buff/burnish accessible floor areas
  • Dust mop wall to wall
  • Wet mop/auto scrub wall to wall 


As Needed

  • Heavy scrub and recoat floors
  • Strip, seal and finish 


Restroom Cleaning 

Daily

  • Check, resupply stock
  • Clean and sanitize toilets, urinals, sinks and countertops
  • Clean mirrors 
  • Clean stainless steel and chrome
  • Clean stock dispenser
  • Empty trash, including sanitary disposal units; clean receptacles
  • Spot clean doors, both sides
  • Spot clean walls with special emphasis around dispensers, sinks and urinals
  • Wet mop floors with sanitizing detergent


Monthly 

  • Machine scrub floors
  • Sanitize waste receptacles


Semi-Annually 

  • Wall to wall deep clean cycling, including all walls, partitions, fixtures and floors


Shower Room and Stall Cleaning 

Daily 

  • Inspect, touchup and wipe down fixtures
  • Remove hair and other debris on finishes and fixtures


Weekly 

  • Clean and disinfect all shower room fixtures
  • Power wash shower room walls and floors with disinfectant cleaner


Miscellaneous Cleaning 

Daily

  • Remove unapproved posters or outdated posters and bulletins
  • Sanitize drinking fountains
  • Spot check interior stairwells


Weekly

  • Dust hallway fixtures, i.e. pictures, fire extinguishers


As Needed

  • Clean ceiling light diffusers and exhaust fans in elevator cars
  • Clean janitorial closets
  • Dust stairwell railings
  • Vacuum upholstered furniture
  • Wet mop hard surface stairwell risers and landings
