    The building is located on Cedar St. The west entrance is located on Cedar St. The east main entrance is handicapped accessible, enter from the driveway between the ramp and the building from Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. 

    Parking Information
    Metered parking is available on both sides of Cedar St. and along Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Blvd. Meters are also available on the orange level of the parking ramp, located behind the building, enter off Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. If you are visiting the building for any reason other than training, you will need to register at the security desk, located on the street level.

    The building is located on Cedar St. Public and disabled accessibility is at front entrance on Cedar St.

    Parking Information
    Metered parking is located on all streets surrounding the building. Limited parking for visitors and visitors with disabilities is available in the Andersen Ramp, attached to the Elmer L. Andersen Human Services Building. Visitors can park in one of the spaces on the first level of the ramp for up to four hours and pay at a self-service machine located near the ramp elevators.

    Andersen ramp parkers enter and exit the ramp from Minnesota St., which is a one-way street heading northbound. The ramp’s second lane is the entrance for visitor parking, visitor with disabilities parking and three larger parking spots for three DHS employees with disabilities who need the added space for side entry into their vehicles.

    All visitors must register at the information desk in the Andersen Building lobby. Regular ramp hours are 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

  • Governor's Residence

    Located at 1006 Summit Avenue in St. Paul's historic Summit Avenue neighborhood, the Minnesota Governor's Residence is one of many stately houses in the area originally built for families that are today a part of the fabric of Minnesota history. Like many similar historic properties, the Minnesota Governor's Residence is periodically opened for public tours. Learn more on the Governor's Residence website at mn.gov/governors-residence.

    Free parking is available on Summit Avenue and local side streets. 

    Access Information
    The Governor's Residence is occasionally opened to the public for tours. Upon arrival, photo identification is required for entry. The Residence is wheelchair accessible but has the restrictions of a historic home.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Blvd. The doors facing Cedar St. are for exit only. Public and disabled accessibility is at the front entrance, located off Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Blvd. 

    Parking Information
    Meter parking is available across from Judicial Center to the south in the orange level of the Centennial Office Building parking ramp.  Visitor parking is also available in parking Lot Q, just north of the Judicial Center on Cedar Street.

    The building is located on the corner of Kellogg Blvd W. and John Ireland Blvd. The main entrance is on the History Center entrance driveway (some maps show this as Mulberry St.). 

    Parking Information
    The parking lot at the Minnesota History Center is available to building visitors, members and the general public when spaces are available. Enter off of Kellogg Boulevard. Daily parking is $5. Members receive a discounted rate when they show their card. Event rates may apply for special programs or when events occur downtown. Public and disabled accessibility is at front entrance off Martin Luther King Blvd. Limited handicapped parking is available free of charge (with permit) at the parking meters when you pull into the History Center entrance driveway. Additional handicapped parking is available for a fee in the parking lot.

  • State Capitol

    The Minnesota State Capitol is undergoing a $272.7 million, three-plus-year restoration, renovation and repair initiative.  Work began in Fall 2013, and will end in 2017.  To learn more about the project, see the State Capitol Restoration Project website.

    In order to facilitate the construction of new utility lines to the Minnesota State Capitol Building, there will be no access to the building from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, November 1, 2014.
